Mytyll Privacy Policy

Effective date: 25 August 2026
Last updated: 25 August 2026

Mytyll is a local-first point-of-sale, inventory, ledger, reporting, receipt, backup, and optional customer-display application developed by Hitesh Dogra. This Privacy Policy explains how Mytyll accesses, uses, stores, and shares information.

1. Privacy contact

For privacy questions or requests, contact Artsintech@gmail.com.

2. Information handled by Mytyll

Depending on the features you use, Mytyll may handle shop profile details, inventory information, sales and ledger data, optional customer information, local owner credentials, recovery information, biometric-login preferences, backup settings, selected images such as shop logos and UPI QR codes, and nearby-device/local-network connection information for customer-display pairing.

Mytyll does not request payment-card numbers or online-banking credentials. A displayed UPI QR is supplied by the retailer, and payment is completed outside Mytyll.

3. How information is used

Information is used only to provide user-selected features such as billing, receipts, inventory, ledger, returns, refunds, taxes, reports, backups, barcode/QR scanning, device security and customer-display functions. Mytyll does not use personal data for advertising, profiling, or cross-app tracking.

4. Local-first storage

Mytyll does not operate a developer-controlled cloud account or database for shop, customer, inventory, or transaction data. Normal app data is stored on the user's device in the Android app sandbox.

Backups or receipts exported to another location or service are outside Mytyll's storage and must be deleted separately by the user if no longer needed.

5. Owner credentials and biometric login

The owner login is a local device credential, not an online Mytyll account. If biometric login is enabled, Android performs authentication and Mytyll does not receive or store fingerprint or face templates.

6. Backups

Mytyll can create local restore points and portable encrypted .mytyll backups. Mytyll does not upload these backups to a developer server. If a user saves a backup to cloud storage, email, messaging, removable storage, or another service, that service's privacy policy applies.

7. Customer display and nearby devices

The optional customer display uses Wi-Fi Direct or the local Wi-Fi network. Pairing uses a temporary QR token and saved device credentials. Live messages are encrypted and limited to display and approved customer-input functions.

8. Barcode and QR scanning

Mytyll uses Google Play services code-scanner components. The app receives the decoded barcode or QR value and does not retain a camera image from the scan.

9. Sharing and third parties

Mytyll does not sell personal information and does not share app data with advertisers or data brokers. Information leaves Mytyll only when needed for a user-selected feature such as sharing a receipt, exporting a backup, opening a printer, or communicating with a paired customer-display device.

10. Permissions

Mytyll may use Internet, Wi-Fi state, nearby Wi-Fi devices, legacy location on older Android versions for Wi-Fi Direct discovery, biometric/fingerprint access, and Android document/sharing interfaces where required for the features the user chooses.

11. Security

Mytyll uses Android app sandboxing, local access controls, authenticated customer-display pairing, encrypted display messages, and encrypted portable backups. No security measure can guarantee absolute protection.

12. Data deletion

Because Mytyll does not create a server-side account, users can delete records through available app controls or remove all local data using Android app settings or by uninstalling the app. Exported copies must be deleted from their destination separately.

13. Children's privacy

Mytyll is a business tool and is not directed to children.

14. International use

Data stored by Mytyll remains on the user's device unless the user exports or shares it. A destination selected by the user may process information in another country under its own terms.

15. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when Mytyll's features, data practices, or legal obligations change. The updated policy will show a revised “Last updated” date.
